What does the process actually look like?
We start with in-depth interviews, typically 15 to 25 hours across multiple sessions, where I dig into the details that make your story yours. From there, I build a full outline so we agree on the shape of the book before I start writing. The finished manuscript typically runs 60,000 to 80,000 words. I don't disappear for months and hand you a finished draft; I submit a few chapters at a time, and you review and mark up each batch before I continue, so the book stays exactly the way you want it to sound, start to finish.
How long does a full manuscript take?

Do I own the finished book?
Yes. You own full rights and can self-publish, query agents, or use it however you'd like.
What if I'm not sure I'm ready for the full project?

Why is this so much more than the Keepsake Book package?

Where do the interviews happen?
Usually by phone or Zoom. For the right project, I'm also open to traveling to meet in person.
